In 2018, two friends from the University of Tasmania took a chance and started Boathouse Coffee at the North Esk Rowing Club, opposite Seaport. When first starting, the landscape was entirely different to what it is today. Recent developments including: the amazing seaport foot bridge, Riverbend Park, and the Silo’s hotel, have resulted in the area being a hotspot for locals and tourists alike.   

5 years down the track, part owners Daniel Britton and Isaac Lethborg have taken over the entire top floor of the centre and are excited to facilitate events of all nature in Launceston. Located only a short walk from the city centre, Boathouse Centre Launceston boasts stunning views toward the Cataract Gorge, Launceston Seaport and the Tamar River.
